Aaliyah Ross was born and raised in Rock Island, Illinois. She grew up attending church and currently attends Homewood Evangelical Free church in Moline. Aaliyah has always loved volunteering and working with a team. Her favorite volunteering opportunity has always been Vacation Bible School at her church. Each summer she has enjoyed putting together activities for the kids and ensuring their experience at VBS is one to remember! Aaliyah finished her first year of college at Augustana. She plans to transfer to Grand Canyon University where she will study Elementary Education to Secondary Education with an emphasis in English. 

Aaliyah was a camp counselor for her first year in 2025! Aaliyah's mom worked out at Camp and shared the impactful stories and memories she had and encouraged Aaliyah to join. Since then, Aaliyah has stepped into the role of Youth Specialist working with our teen in Rock Island! Her favorite thing about her role as Youth Specialist is having the opportunity to create a lasting impact in kids lives.

We are so grateful for Aaliyah and has she is doing in Rock Island and the lives of our teens.

Fun fact: Aaliyah loves the flute and has been playing since she was in 4th grade!
