YouthHope's West End Youth Center:

BUILDING HOPE IN DAVENPORT

DONATE NOW

  THE VISION

YouthHope's West End Initiative is a bold, transformative effort to reach at-risk youth in Davenport with lasting hope. With nearly 90 years of experience in mentoring, education, and faith-based programming, YouthHope is expanding to one of the most underserved neighborhoods in the Quad Cities. This Youth Center in the West End will be a safe haven- offering academic support, personal development, meals, creative training, and spiritual growth.

  THE URGENCY

Children in Davenport face some of the harshest realities in Iowa - poverty,

crime, and trauma. A child born in this neighborhood can expect to live 15

years less than one born in nearby Bettendorf. Crime rates are among the

highest in the nation, and many children face hopelessness daily. That should

never be normal.

THE RESPONSE

YouthHope is answering this urgent need by creating a permanent presence in the West End. The Hope Center - originally built in 1937 and most recently stewarded by OneEighty - is being passed on to YouthHope. This sacred space will be transformed into a vibrant Youth Center offering holistic support: mentorship, meals, tutoring, creativity, recreation, and the Gospel.
