AMOS JOHNSON

CAMP DIRECTOR

PARTNER WITH ME

Amos serves as Camp Director with a deep passion for building structured, Christ-centered environments where students can grow in their identity and faith. Born and raised in the Quad Cities, Amos now lives in Rock Island, Illinois with his family. Being rooted in this community has shaped both his strong work ethic and his heart for serving young people well.

He is a graduate of William Penn University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing and Business Administration. After college, Amos pursued professional athletics and returned home to play for the Quad Cities SteamWheelers. His time as a professional athlete strengthened his discipline, teamwork, and ability to lead under pressure.

During the 2020 pandemic, Amos launched a local initiative centered on community empowerment and holistic health. He also served professionally as a behavioral health intervention specialist and engaging males advocate, investing deeply in youth and families throughout the region. These experiences solidified his belief that lasting impact happens through consistent presence, clear structure, and intentional mentorship.

In 2022, Amos recommitted his life fully to Christ and has been intentional about aligning his leadership and service with that foundation. His heart for ministry is rooted in practical faith — creating spaces where students can step away from distractions, encounter Christ, and be challenged and supported as they grow.

As Camp Director, Amos leads with integrity and purpose, committed to investing in both staff and students and helping create a camp experience that leaves a lasting impact on every life it touches.
