GAMELEY ATCHRIMI

Camp Summit Counselor

PARTNER WITH ME

Hi! My name is Gameley. I was born in Benin, West Africa, and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I’m currently going into my sophomore year of college, where I’m studying engineering. Some of my favorite things to do are working out, playing basketball, eating good food, playing pool, and spending time with the people I love.

Camp Summit has been part of my life since I was in sixth grade. I first heard about camp through a great brother of mine, Miguel, and ever since then, it has been a place that has helped shape my faith and who I am today.

I was interested in becoming a counselor this summer because I wanted the opportunity to grow closer to God while spending time with the people I enjoy being around. I truly feel that God has led me here and continues to work through me in ways that strengthen my faith and guide my path.

This summer, I’m most looking forward to meeting new people, building meaningful relationships, learning more about God, and helping spread His Word. I know that God is always working in our lives, guiding us and leading us down His holy path. My goal as a counselor is to share the incredible things He has done in my life and encourage campers to see how He is working in theirs as well.

My prayer for this summer is that every camper experiences the life-changing love of God and feels the deep care and compassion He has for each of us. I hope camp is a place where they can have fun, grow in faith, and leave knowing just how much they are loved by Him.
