SADIE JIMENEZ

Camp Summit Counselor

PARTNER WITH ME

Hi! My name is Sadie Jimenez, and I’m from Des Moines, Iowa. I attend Augustana College, where I study Psychology, Sociology/Anthropology, and Music. In my free time, I love cooking, being outdoors, spending time in fellowship with others, and getting some extra sleep.

This is my first year serving as a counselor at Camp Summit. I first heard about Camp Summit through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship from a friend at Augustana. I was looking for an opportunity to work with children, gain experience, and have fun serving others, but I knew I wanted that experience to be rooted in Christ. God used a friend to lead me to this opportunity and redirect me exactly where He wanted me to be this summer.

I am especially looking forward to leading devotionals and sharing Jesus with the children I get to spend time with at camp. My prayer is that God would open the hearts of each camper, inspiring them to follow Jesus and giving them the courage to share their stories so we can pray for and encourage them.

I hope every camper experiences the amazing love of Jesus in a personal way. I want to see campers light up as they begin to understand His love for them. My prayer is that every child feels safe and comfortable enough to let down their guard, have fun, and experience the joy and peace that can only come through Christ.
