PARTNER WITH ME

Serenity is currently living in Chicago while completing her degree at Moody Bible Institute in Communications. Although living in Chicago, Serenity is originally from Denver Colorado! From a young age, Serenity had a passion for music, poetry, fashion, and social justice. She is a prolific writer, guitarist, and songwriter with a deep belief in the power of art to change lives. Her journey has been shaped by involvement in community-focused organizations—serving as an Intern Coordinator at the Black Homeschooling Sustainability Initiative, working with the JEKL Institute to provide science kits to BIPOC youth, and a participant in the Youth Empowerment Broadcasting Organization. These unique experiences shaped Serenity and helped her realize her calling to serve, uplift, and be present with youth–especially those overlooked.

Serenity was drawn to YouthHope through her desire to teach and help other kids experience and encounter the love of Christ and the Gospel. She seeks to walk with others, specifically youth, as they wrestle with questions of identity, faith, and purpose. YouthHopes mission aligns with this vision of hers and she's excited to connect youth to Christ through creativity, compassion, and community by joining the YouthHope team!

Her future goal and dream is to be an entrepreneur, professional musician, and published writer who uses her platform to serve the overlooked and outcasted youth. God has given Serenity a heart for those who feel like they don’t belong, and has been called to walk with them in friendship, truth, and love.

We are grateful that God brought Serenity to YouthHope’s Camp Summit. She is a great addition to the Camp Staff and an important part in helping transform our kids' lives through displaying the power of Christ’s love and walking alongside them.

Fun Fact: Serenity once walked around with a stick of butter in her pocket for an entire day without realizing!
